About Spiral Comics
In some ways, Spiral Comics started when I was three years old, drawing superheroes on the backs of restaurant placemats with off-brand crayons.
Or maybe it started when I wrote my first fantasy story at ten. Or in middle school, when my friends and I stayed up all night drawing our own comics, then spent our allowance making copies on the Xerox machine at the local Cumberland Farms.
Whatever the starting point, the idea had been bubbling under the surface for decades. In 2025, I decided it was time to make Spiral Comics real – to stop waiting and start telling the stories I wanted to tell.
I believe stories matter. They can take us somewhere we’ve never been, help us see something differently, make us feel understood, or leave us with questions we’re still thinking about days later.
I don’t know yet what kind of impact my stories will have. That’s part of what makes this exciting.
Spiral Comics is a home for stories made with curiosity, heart, and the belief that comics can do more than one thing at a time.

Richard Robert Robinson (his parents loved alliteration) is an artist and designer. He’s been an English major, an art major, and a huge nerd, so he has finally decided to give in to his geeky tendencies and combine all three of those things and finally make an ongoing webcomic series.
He lives in the greater Seattle area with his wife and three dogs.
